President: Sai Nakirikanti
Year: 4
Major: Neuroscience
Minor: Health and Medical Sciences
Sai does research in the MAP (Memory, Affect, and Planning) Laboratory at Georgia Tech and he volunteers at the Shepherd Center. In his free time, Sai enjoys playing basketball and pursuing his interest in photography.

 

Executive Vice President: Rachit Kumar
Year: 4
Major: Biomedical Engineering
Rachit is currently hoping to pursue an MD-PhD combined degree after graduating from Georgia Tech. His current research interests lie in the intersection of computer science and medicine, especially as it relates to machine learning and artificial intelligence through the use of informatics in a clinical setting. In his free time, Rachit enjoys playing strategy games, hanging out with friends, and reading short stories.

 

VP of Finance: Minita Singh
Year: 4
Major: Biology
Minor: Women, Science and Technology
Aside from AMSA, Minita is involved in epigenetics research, volunteers at CHOA and the Ronald McDonald House, and is a shift captain for Campus Kitchens here at Tech. In her free time she likes to watch reality TV shows and Rom-Coms, hang out with her friends, and go window shopping. In the future she hopes to use her medical degree to help underprivileged women and children.

 

VP of Membership: Pratima Bajaj
Year: 3
Major: Neuroscience
Minor: Biochemistry
Pratima is an avid Netflix watcher and Panda Express eater. She researches in a neuroscience lab that studies the effects of chemotherapy on motor control. Pratima hopes to attend medical school and become a surgeon.

 

VP of Communications: Holt Roberts
Year: 4
Major: Neuroscience
Minor: Health and Medical Sciences
Holt is an undergraduate research assistant in the Cognitive Neuroscience at Tech Research Laboratory, a teaching assistant for NEUR 2001 and GT1000 Team leader for the Pre-Health section. He aspires to go to medical school right after he graduates and make an impact in the medical community as a physician. An interesting fact about him is that he studied abroad in Lyon, France in the summer of 2017 for 9 weeks.

 

Advocacy Coordinator: Kelly Qiu
Year: 3
Major: Materials Science and Engineering
Kelly is a junior at Georgia Tech majoring in Materials Science and Engineering. Besides school, she volunteers at the Stamps Health Pharmacy and is an Advocacy Coordinator for AMSA. She recently went on a medical missions trip to Honduras and studied abroad in France, so feel free to ask about her adventures!

 

Advocacy Coordinator: Sandelin Sikes
Year: 3
Major: Biology
Minor: Pre-Law
Sandelin works as a scribe in the ER and she is secretary of Students for One Health club. In her free time, Sandelin enjoys soccer, either watching or playing, spending time with friends, and watching the Office.

 

Conference Coordinator: Sara Shoushtarian
Year: 3
Major: Biology
Sara is an aspiring oncologist and is involved in a neuroscience lab at Georgia Tech. Sara also enjoys hiking, playing soccer, and being outdoors.

 

Conference Coordinator: Rashi Agrawal
Year: 2
Major: Biology
Minor: Political Science
Rashi is from Athens, Georgia, and is involved in research with Applied Physiology and explores the possibilities between neuromuscular connections and rehabilitiaion. She volunteers at Grady Memorial Hospital and the Antioch Homeless Shelter through Buzz Mobile Health while putting on events around campus through Freshman Servant Leadership. Outside of school, Rashi enjoys exploring Atlanta with friends, playing soccer, and dancing. In the future, she wishes to attend medical school and become a physician.

 

Fundraising Chair: Mandy Wong
Year: 3
Major: Biology
Mandy values sleep and food. Outside of these hobbies, she does research in an Applied Physiology lab that studies the neuromuscular mechanisms in motor coordination. She recently shadowed a gastroenterologist and an otolaryngologist. After watching Dr. G: Medical Examiner on TV as a child, she has always aspired to go to medical school and become a physician.

 

Membership Engagement Chair: Ritika Chanda
Year: 2
Major: Neuroscience
Minor: Health and Medical Sciences and Leadership Studies
Ritika is from Columbus, GA, works at the CoNTRoL Laboratory and researches through VIP. Her research interests lie in the integration of Neuroscience, technology and healthcare. She also volunteers at Atlanta Medical Center and is the Hospital Coordinator of SHC. In her free time, Ritika enjoys dancing and exploring Atlanta. She aspires to become a physician running her own practice one day.

 

Membership Engagement Chair: Ishani Desai
Year: 2
Major: Biochemistry
Ishani is a second year biochemistry major from Rome, GA. She does research with the Lieberman Laboratory working with the protein myocilin. She also volunteers at Grady Memorial Hospital. On campus, she is involved with SHC (Student Hospital Connections) as well as HAC (Honor Advisory Council); beyond campus, she enjoys exploring the city, painting, and playing tennis. In the future, she aspires to go to medical school and become a physician.

 

Mentorship Coordinator: Anjnee Rana
Year: 2
Major: Neuroscience
Minor: Public Policy
Anjnee is involved in a Neuromechanics lab that explores the relationship between language recognition, movement, and cognition. Beyond this, Anjnee spends her time hanging out with friends and watching excessive amounts of Netflix.

 

Mentorship Coordinator: Affan Wasti
Year: 4
Major: Biology
Affan is a 4th year biology major from Chicago, Illinois. He is the current president of the Georgia Tech Chapter of the Tri-Beta National Biological Honor Society and volunteers at Shifa Clinic of Duluth. After completing his time at Tech, he aspires to enter medical school and learn to lead his own practice one day. Affan enjoys playing video games, watching anime, playing basketball, and reflecting over the Quran.
